Emergency communications Frequencies and procedures - Lightspeed - 18 September 2013 Raynet is the Amateur radio emergency communications group for the whole of the UK They have a long history of providing resiliant communications in UK emergencies. They train regularly to ensure thattheir systems are fully operationl Here is a link to their downloadable operations manual: http://www.raynet-uk.net/main/manual.asp Section 5 covers all of the frequencies that Raynet plan to use in emergencies. There is also a weekly news broadcast on Sunday mornings on the 3.5Mhz band. Listening for this will test your station's NVIS capability. |
