in a way I guess but instead of planting one or two plants among trees and bushes you plant a whole garden at a time

The idea is good, but the reviews are mixed,...and I wonder if the climate that the book was written for would make the book less useful in our woodlands, even in his email he talks about not buying plants that wouldn't grow in `x` zone

I like the idea of gorilla growing and iv done some of my own for the last 2 summers.
The thing to remember is to grow plants, veg, salad, herbs, fruit that no one will ever give a second glance.
Root vegetables like swede, turnips, mangels all go unnoticed.
So would parsnips but carrot tops sticking out the ground stand out like a sore thumb.
Kale and even spinach go unnoticed.
Iv got unusual seeds stored that are odd colors and shapes and sizes so even if they were stumbled on by someone they would put doubt in there mind if the veg was edible.

You can always grow the normal peas, beans, carrots, onions, lettuce etc but keep them well away from your main secret gardening plots because they are to easy to spot and once they notice one edible plant they will start looking at everything else as well.
