if anyone is on the coast, its not just rock pools, there are edible plants growing on the coast line, then we could use seaweed to manure our veg plots if we cant get animal manure-people have been using seaweed for centuries, then there is all the stuff washed up by the tide! I gathered a couple of bag fulls of kindling the other week above the high tide mark!!

there's an age old saying the the sea provides

in an ideal world I'd love to live on a remote section of the coast line
fishing and lobster pots, salt for preserving, sea weed for food and manure and all the other stuff thats washed up

and if your remote enough then hopefully the initial effluent issues would be minimal (live on stores for a while)
