How to build a net from scratch - Scythe13 - 16 October 2013

Been thinking about this for a while, but after some chatting with BP and watching Ultimate Survival Alaska, I'm going to look into how to make a net. So, I have come up with a pretty useful link.

http://www.troop54.com/knots/Netting.htm

I'll be posting the results of the lesson soon. Practice practice practice. 1 meter of paracord gives 7 strands, each a meter long, plus the outer thread, totals 8 bits of cord to practice with.

The idea isn't to get the perfect net first time round. It's to learn the technique I need to be able to make the net, anywhere, anytime, and in any conditions. It's the skill of making a net that's more important than owning a net, in my opinion.

DIY purse nets, very useful. You put them over rabbit holes and start digging.
