I'm not sure we have those kind of filters in the UK

There are plenty of them in the UK. I take it you don't have an easy drip coffee machine then?

The wife has one, and the spare filters, but I have opted for an Aeropress (yes I'm a pure coffee snob, and proud of it!!! Beans are freshly roasted. Each cup's worth is hand ground by me, to keep the oils as fresh and untainted as possible...damn I make a beast of a coffee!!! If it wasn't midnight, I'd be making one right now!), so the filters are only smaller paper disks.

Good post though UKS. Thanks mate.

I have used coffee filter papers to filter cooking oil to run the car on. shame to waste it. Also used one to filter something in the garage when the can went rusty. I think it was thinners.
