Jacket Hood Mod - Scythe13 - 27 December 2013
I used to have a lovely ski jacket that had a furry lining around the hood.
The lining was detachable, and when it was unfashionable to have that fur, I unzipped it and subsequently lost it.
I was just wondering about making some fur liners and adding wrapped zips to my hoods on a few jackets. That way I can enjoy the benefits of the fur as of and when desired.

Go for it, I'd consider velcro as a means of securing them inside your hood a lot less fuss to sew in. Maybe put the soft side on the coat hood and the hard hooky side to the fur hood. You could make it of any material.
