I trust our govt to act too late and too little in a disaster.

At the end of the day I suppose it is mostly encouraging to see that the Government, national and local, have decided to update the original system that was in place. Whether it would work in the actual event would be proven at the time.
So I think I will keep on being independent and as self sufficient as possible as I am not totally confident in what I have read so far.
