RE: Very, Very Cheap Shotguns - Midnitemo - 24 May 2014 its a strange thing but when you are in with a group of shooters you will be offered very cheap or even free gun's by people retiring from shooting or just wanting to make space in an overcrowded gun cabinet for a new purchase , I bought a very nice side by side of a guy in these circumstances for £50 and he offered me a bolt action .410 for free at the same time , I declined at the time but I should have took it in hindsight. RE: Very, Very Cheap Shotguns - Barneyboy - 24 May 2014 so how does that work, with the police and your fac ? RE: Very, Very Cheap Shotguns - Talon - 24 May 2014 I'm very tempted for his Auto 5 with a straight stock.I've been watching it for a few days.A bit far to drive down from Durham though ![]() RE: Very, Very Cheap Shotguns - Scythe13 - 24 May 2014 (24 May 2014, 15:58)Barneyboy Wrote: so how does that work, with the police and your fac ? Paperwork has to be filled out and sent off. As long as you're allowed that size or have space on your cert, it's all good. RE: Very, Very Cheap Shotguns - Steve - 25 May 2014 For a beginner to shooting, budget £75 for a used safe, £50 for certificate, and £25 for a well used 12g double barrel. Nobody bats an eye if you want more than one shotgun, so get a spare or two. This is a very cheap route into shooting sports, a local clay pigeon ground is a great place to meet people and have a fun Sunday morning. Cartridges are best bought in bulk, usually in boxes of 1000 priced from about £150. |
