But it drives me mad as to why these companies never include their contact details, or even give any kind of idea where in the country they are based. Finally found out they are in Okehampton, why don't they just say that on their website!!

They want your money in hand and deposited before you see the place.
If you have directions, drop by unannounced and see the condition of the situation they might never get your credit card number.
