Do be aware that Jerimiah Johnson, the author of this article, was the lead character in a 1970s movie about the American western fur trade.
Robert Redford played the character, who was also know as "Liver Eater Johnson" due to his cannibalistic tendencies.
Now the famous mountain man has been reduced to the status of "retired green beret" writing for a survival blog.
How far those on high have fallen!
Fairly common sense article past that diversion.
