isn't there any other way they can go? I'm sure there is not just one route. mind you I have been saying for years relying on imports to feed the nation is a bad idea in a crisis.

Let Brussels sort it out.....they have promoted open borders , their problem.....if drivers do not want to do it because its not safe ....i do not blame them at all....it might be a good thing...the gov could explain it ........just in time for the in/out vote on Europe ...i bet that would haul arse a bit quick..... yea Dave,s arse.

the thing is they are in a catch 22 with this , big fines payed by the driver we have all seen the news not 1 migrant but 8/10 / 14 all cramed in to a lorry I think the fine is £25000 per migrant so the guys search their own lorrys and often get attacked by not just 1 or 2 migrants but several.
searching lorrys is a job for French police not drivers on their own , once passed passport control if migrants are found very big fines.

Simple solution...only ISO shipping containers to be used on ro ro ferries...driver can put his own level 10 padlock on alongside the seal...take some getting in then...customers would whinge about the increased cost but hey someones got to pay to prevent this issue.

I did notice toward the end of the article that they try to shift the blame on this issue to GB, because the economy is so good!

You guys need to import a few American drivers. They tend to be a crusty lot and will run over your backside then come back and p!$$ on the puddle.
They would leave a lorry open, let everyone climb on, then push it into the channel half way across.

You are correct MB.... we here in the UK are far better off than the rest of Europe ....this is not by chance or luck.....this my friend is the efforts of just one man................yes that,s right just one man...no ordinary man.....a messiah ! his name GEORGE OSBOURNE he has spent the last five years working day and night on our behalf...just for us to have a better no....prosperous future..if you were to holiday over here MB all you would see is a happy cheerful race of people ....everywhere ...who care not a jot about stupid things like part time jobs....lack of money....cameras everywhere ....not a bloody toss do we give ....tax is even taxed over here .....we laugh at it !....what ever ! BUT by far our best export....no .....national treasure.... has not been near the transporter room yet ...his mate Dave wants him as leverage in a upcoming referendum crafty bugger ...plus George has a disrupter weapon ...he stole this from a Klingon who was pissed up on barley wine in Cardiff central train station....Khan i think they said his name was.....nasty bastard by all accounts .
