I also requires a plow or days of back breaking labor and is not practical for the average home gardener.
It is great if you are a large scale peasant farmer in the year 1025ad, know of no other methods ad have been instructed to use this method by the lord of the manor at point of the sword.
I can not see where it is superior to pulling out a handful of straw, throwing in a spoonful of fertilizer and popping a plant in to grow free of mud and filth on ones back patio.
