Re news links... - mikebratcher69 - 10 January 2012

Yet again we have disparaging comments regarding my posts on this site...
NOT shall we say by all members most comments I get regarding my posts are positive.
Yet again I feel the need to say to certain individals (you know who you are) this is a community, we are all in this boat together, if you want to moderate others posts so severely and only want to hear news relevent to YOU start your own socialist site. A lot of people seem stuck in there ways, wake up people the worlds changing and so must we. It's not your way or the highway, we are all individuals all entitled to our own opinions as to what constitutes relevent news and what is b.s. and what is not.
I provide the details I find for Intel purposes, YOU personaly make your mind up as to whether its of relevence to you or not. If its not bob on and read another post theres no need to leave disparaging remarks, I dont do that to you, so do the civilised thing and do the same. To be honest I dont give a damn if certain people dont value some of my posts, Or think my sources are reputable or not, I mearly bring to peoples attention what I find is relevent to prepping and COULD affect us in some way. I can tell you this though I've learned more from the so called disreputable sites than our own so called reputable media, one mans meat is anothers poison.
Read my posts if you will or dont, YOU must make that choice because unless the OWNER of this site tells me to stop, I wont.
I fail to see how news reports from any source would have a detrimental affect on any prepping site unless they portray Racism or intollerance of others, Oh wait a minute isnt that happening here already?Big Grin

value your posts? you've admitted you don't take them seriously yourself, a lot of what you post is hear say fear shite from other places , you don't do any research to back it up, in fact I've researched a few and turns out it's absolute crap! I agree with wnc and nr you get a bit carried away with these posts and as much as you feel you have the right to keep posting in this way we have the right to comment, and if the owner of this site wants it's to develop into a serious forum that people respect and trust then this needs to be addressed!

Hold on there... I don't want this to be a heavily moderated site. I don't want to listen to people arguing all the time. I just don't have the time to do that.

I was asked, and not by Mike, to create areas for these sort of articles. I did so so we can read and decide ourselves or if you decide that someone is not worth reading then you can ignore their posts. I read but don't comment in most things in these area as it is not that important to me. It seems we have a difference of opinion in this area.

So if the feelings are so strong why don't I create an area for conspiracy type stuff and then you can ignore that area if you want, if you want to participate it will all be in there.

In the meantime lets stop the arguing and get back to sharing information.

Yeah an area for theorys and conspiracies away from the factual and confirmed new articles is wise.

And Mikes attack on PG us 100% out of order, offensive, insulting and sexist.

I hope all is now settled. No grudges please. We should be a happy family and support each other. All families have disagreements. Forgive and forget. Kenneth Eames.

I gotta admit that I post some (Dodgy ) links from time to time and I'm guilty of not always researching what I post, but to be honest I don't get upset. If people shoot my stuff down in flames this encourages me to think a bit more about what I post.

It's not the cards your dealt that define you, it's how you play the hand!
