None of the news report suggest it was shot down.
The pilots contacted ATC confirming a problem with the plane and to be diverted for an emergency landing at the nearest airport, before it crashed.
So sounds like catastrophic mechanical failure.

If it is a technical malfunction then not prepper related IMHO
However if it was bought down then it does ratchet the politicals
up a notch which could well be prepper related.
Interesting that late Saturday afternoon GMT this ...
"Two major airlines, Lufthansa and Air France, have decided to avoid flying over the Sinai Peninsula until they get a clear explanation of what caused Saturday's crash in the area, Reuters reports.
"We took the decision to avoid the area because the situation and the reasons for the crash were not clear," a Lufthansa spokeswoman is quoted by the news agency as saying."

maybe, but I don't think the bombing is helping much, in the end it may come down to "boots on the ground" to defeat ISIS, whether those boots are Russian, Amerian or some kind of NATO combined force.
