I have just received an email from UK Power Networks asking me if I need extra support during a powercut. Do they know something I don't??

there was an announcement in the press that if we have a cold winter this year, the time when demand will outstrip supply( possible power cuts or brown outs) was estimated to be 11-16 January 2016.
maybe it was in response to that??
