He isn't selling it, bar Amazon referrals. It is simply a review.

I've seen one in action. Nifty bit of kit and one way of keeping small amounts of kit charged.

I have no doubts its a nifty bit of kit SD ...but i could buy some solar gadget from say fleabay and make something VERY simular for under £20 ......in fact i will do just that ..just for the trip ....have to say though i like the look of it.

I didn't say it was cheap but it is well made and makes this more compact.

A solar kit is much better but takes up more space plus a thermocouple doesn't need the sun, nor does it have a shelf life.

Nifty, but way over priced for what it is, the thermoelectric peltier module that is the generator part of this can be got for just a few quid.

for 270 quid I could buy a lot of stuff more useful than that.

Looks to be a fairly good stove, but I think the generator part of it is being over sold.

As has already been said a low cost solar or even hand operated dynamo would do a more efficient job of charging low consumption devices.

If I had to take to the wilds, I cant see me having enough spare carrying capacity to drag something like this along with me though.
