No its not some fat cow turning your amorous advances down. The Americans have the wonderfully exotic sounding La Nina and El Nino weather events, well now it appears we have our own Atlantic based event called THE COLD BLOB.
Basically on a cyclic fashion a large Europe sized chunk of the Atlantic cools down and causes COLDER but DRIER summers in general but if its a strong cold blob year it can bugger up our summers rather badly.
