NASA Scientist Dismisses Climate Change As Hoax - CharlesHarris - 26 February 2017

Here an excerpt from his wikipedia entry: "He is the Distinguished Professor of Atmospheric Science and Director of the Earth System Science Center at the University of Alabama in Huntsville. He was appointed Alabama's state climatologist in 2000. For his development of a global temperature data set from satellites he was awarded NASA's Medal for Exceptional Scientific Achievement, and the American Meteorological Society's "Special Award."[1] In 2002, Christy was elected Fellow of the American Meteorological Society.[4]"
I would highly recommend you watch the entire video, but here's the Cliff notes version:
1. Energy makes the good life possible.
2. CO2 is not a pollutant but absolutely necessary for life.
3. The climate models do NOT accurately predict the measured behavior of the atmosphere, as measured by the satellite data (which is the most accurate not likely to be corrupted by urban heat island effect, etc.)
4. (And here's the real killer): whatever we do will have NO effect. According the average of the UN climate models, even if all human activity were to cease completely, the temperature would continue to rise somewhat.
Bottom line: Christy believes the UN models are a bunch of hooey, but even if you believe the UN climate models, there is nothing useful we can do . . . and -- further -- there is a moral cost to denying good, reliable sources of energy to developing countries. And this is from a guy who has been awarded the country's highest award for climate science.
But there is a lot, lot more, and the time you spend watching the video will be richly rewarded by actual facts from a highly decorated scientist who actually knows what he is talking about.

Sorry fellows, for me there is no room for discussion or variation.
I am from the generation that was taught we were entering a new Ice Age and since the textbooks are unquestionable I am sticking with that.
I am also from the generation that turned out scientists at an alarming and unusable rate and I know they will say anything they have to say to keep their grants and fellowships. Since they have zero marketable skills they will say anything they are required to say to keep a paycheck flowing.
Right now the big crony money maker is global warming and the required clean energy, so that is what they back, even if they have to change the numbers to prove it.

It MUST be true because Art Bell said so on the radio and they re-ran that episode on A Moment In Time on Oscar night, so you know it must be true!

When the global cooling scam was first mentioned to me many years ago I thought it was a joke. I mentioned the Thames freezing over last century and when it changed to global warming, couldn't even et the temperature direction right I mentioned grape growing in middle england. The benefits of reading and yet it was still pushed on us at great cost. That is how stupid we are as a species. If we survive this stupidity this time will be called the age of stupidity where logic and centuries of experience were cast aside for false feelings.

I don't know whats causing climate change but a wild guess is that the millions of tons of shit we are pumping into the planet are not helping things.

They are not helping things but the amount we pump is insignificant to the input from the sun which is, and always has been, changing our climate for billions of years. Long before we came along and it will do so long after we have left.
