crossbow string oil - Barneyboy - 28 January 2012 hello is there any thing you can use for crossbow string oil I,E veg oil meat fat or the like will it brake the string cheers RE: crossbow string oil - NorthernRaider - 28 January 2012 Just use ordinary string wax which is available from most archery suppliers, actually I think you can also make your own very easily out of something like bees wax etc, try googling making archery string wax. RE: crossbow string oil - Skean Dhude - 28 January 2012 I tried oil when I got mine at first. The string is so tight that it can't permeat and the oil just went everywhere. On a bow I would hate for it to slip while you are pulling it back and not properly aimed. RE: crossbow string oil - Timelord - 28 January 2012 Try beeswax. Rub it in, like leatherworkers do to their threads. It only takes a little bit. |
