You're getting about 20-30 shots from a CO2 bulb I'm guessing.

Excuse me asking (and this is a serious question no a smart Alec one) but,

How are you going to refill the CO2 bulbs when the supplies run out?

you dont, thats why come SHTF my SMK will be thrown away and i will rely on my BSA Meteor & Weirhauch springers.

That's an entirely fair question. The simple answer is, I won't.

You can get a pretty consistent 30 shots, of about the same pressure, from 1 canister.

If I store 20 tubes, that 600 shots! 100 tubes would be 3000 shots!!!

Most strings on a bow cannot push out 3000 shots and keep going. Same as most arrows can't take an impact 1000 times.

It's a completely valid question and one that I've often wondered myself.

To be fair, I think that after a few years, the society would be back and running again. But I can't guarantee that. Until then, I currently have 600 shots for sure. After those shots, I guess I'll have to wait and see.

Having said that, I do intend to get some more projectile equipment, but for now I have other things to sort out.

I'll probably get a break action rifle at some point.

Quicky one for you, http://airgun-academy.pyramydair.com/blo...artridges/

Just found this, and thought you might like to have a read.
Seems that a lot of "research" has been carried out by someone.
I especially like the references to other gases.
