Ive never thought about it really. The types of food I like that much are the sort of things that you just wouldnt be able to have. Stuff like chinese food or a pizza etc. Thus you'd be better off with something like a choc bar (assuming it doesnt go off).

Does a decent quilted toilet roll count as luxury?

Absolutely! The quiltier the better.

Not even the tiniest little dram, Highlander?
Ok,... sometimes I like a Brandy and coke at home,.. just the one mind ,... but a bottle lasts me months and months,... but ssshhhhh, don't tell anyone

I thought you would be into whisky.
No Mary,... I absolutely hate Whisky,..and yet I have quiet a few bottles here, given to me for Christmas from people on my run

........................I also think that books are going to become a luxury, people these days often think so little of books, its much more popular to use the computer, the I-Pod or tablet,... if all that goes, then books suddenly become as important as they were post Computer age.

I am sure that many of us will have survival books, plant identity books, medical books etc, all good things,.. but I wonder how long it would be before people would pay a high price for a Cowboy book, or a Woman's Own magazine
My favourite cold weather drink is a slug of Glen Grant.

I do agree about the books. I have a bookcase full of horticultural, herbal, craft, cookery and DIY. All of it very useful, I'm sure, but a bit heavy to carry round.
Those doctors surgeries will still be looted after the medicine has been nicked for all the take a break magazines.

I like it..

barter goods based off the ridiculousness of the magazine in question. Like those womans magazines that are about psychology and ghost stories etc. We could read them around the "camp" fire.

(actually in that Dragon movie with Christian Bale they tell the kids the star wars movies as entertainment)
cannabis.........or hashish packs down easier lol
That's what I like about this site again loads of good points you think the same as me, whiskey yep white chocolate yep, decent coffee yep. Books yep but not just practical books but books that may be a destraction history, geography say?
For bartering goods what about condoms, some women might not want little ones, after the shtf (not that I need them ) also they offer protection from many diseases
