They can shoot ball bearings as well as bolts, and because the bullets/BBs travel down a rail and not a tube they are apparently legal to hunt with??? (not sure there though) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cN_JzGrPLeU RE: What have done towards your prep? - Tibbs735 - 15 December 2013 Found out how to make payments to my student loan. So if precious metals suddenly jump in value, I'll sell them and wipe out a big chunk of debt. I am considering this now that there is much talk of privatizating student loans, which would allow them to raise the interest rate dramatically. Did someone say FAC as well? RE: What have done towards your prep? - DWA - 15 December 2013 mounted all the "weaponry" onto the understairs storage wall. air rifle, air pistol, bb gun, catapult and crossbow. lock on the door next! But they are made in Scotland, and Mr Iain Anderson is a scot.(15 December 2013, 12:44)Tartar Horde Wrote:(14 December 2013, 17:43)NorthernRaider Wrote: Not sure but I believe the Talons are NOT made in the UK only assembled, IIRC they are asian. They are hand made in Scotland NR by a guy called Anderson, the ones you are maybe describing are called Venom and made in Taiwan and are a bag of shite mate, these are a well made weapons check out the links below. RE: What have done towards your prep? - I-K-E - 16 December 2013 got given a voucher for a "have ago session" at one of the clay clubs near my mum's for my B'day RE: What have done towards your prep? - BeardyMan - 17 December 2013 (14 December 2013, 17:25)Tartar Horde Wrote: Beardy Man if you want to check out a crossbow that has good reviews and built in UK look at Talon crossbows, they also shoot 38cal bullet heads at 24-30ft lbs out of a small 60lb draw weight and are very accurate. I did check out the Talon ones. I'm certain that at one point you could get a fishing attachment for them, but I'm not able to find that now?! After this one that fires ball bearings I'm ditching the crossbow in favour of a bow like McCavity has. That's a beauty, enough power for anything I'll ever need and surprisingly easy to fire accurately. Much better than the little compound thing I have and the long bow. Glad you liked it mate. I'm well proud how well ive come on with that bow. ![]() As ive mentioned before if you are over my way I would reccomend going to the archery store I use to get yourself 'measured' for the correct size / weight bow. Yeah, definitely mate. Get Christmas and the New Year out of the way, and the house move, then I'll be over so you can show me the shop. |
