i generally go for cheapness (no surprise there then) and i tend to buy Lidl or market watches usually about £6 then when the batteries run out buy another one..have had ones that last for years...but i do have a wind up pocket watch stored away.

How accurate it is isn't as important as how consistent it is.

If it always looses 3 minutes a day you can add that back on again to get the correct time.
If it sometimes looses 3 minutes and sometimes gains 3 minutes you can’t

Yes, Timex watches are amazing. I still have my "first"watch from when I was a kid.

Its a wind uo Timex. No day date, not waterproof, no second hand, and certainly no batteries in sight!

....and it still works :-)
