Never had a sardine in my life....love tuna and all other fish... but sardines and squid in a tin...hmmmm...
I know its a stupid question but what do they taste like?? yes I know "just buy a tin"
is it a bit like marmite and vegimite in that you either love or hate the taste??

It is one of those things. All fish has subtly different tastes so you best trying it. In addition fish in tins lasts a very long time.

1 cup full rice, 1 tin sardines in tom sauce, 1 teaspoon oregano, 2 tablespoons dried onion, 3 cardamon seeds/pods, half teaspoon cumin seeds, boil rice, 5 mins before end time add rest of ingreidients, cook for 5 mins, drain and serve...Hold nose whilst eating and you will be just fine
