I'm scared stiff about kids and old folks getting knocked down on a road that passes the primary school, I frequently see cars race past at 70 MPH, and people often have to jump out of the way. So I wrote to the council and the police, it was ages ago at best they move at a crawl. Anyway today i gets an E mail asking me to attend a meeting in the community center organised by the cops. As you know physically I'm wrecked and my van is buggered So I walked round, it took me 30 painful minutes. I got their at 6.50 and stood in the effing cold til 7.15 and the police did not turn up. the doors were up and notice posted to say the meeting was on but no lights were on in the hall. I gave up and went home.
I e mailed them to tell em off and they wrote back insisting they were there !!!.

I stood like a bloody sentry for 25 minutes outside the doors and no effing cops turned up, but they insist they did.

God I have no faith left in those useless gits.

if they still insist they were there, ask for a copy of the "minutes" of the meeting and a list of who attended!

Tayside Police 2005-2009 , SOCO/ Laboratory analyst. Not in any way shape or form a PC- the handcuffs are Mrs Bucket's Tongue

Yes, the cops are useless gits. That's why I left.

Half the time can't do anything for health and safety/ political correctness, or because they had drug/alcohol problems and their social worker intervenes. Worked on a case for a month, for it only to be dropped at the last minute as the guy went on methadone.

Yes we'll moan about paperwork but mostly its to cover ourselves when the magic word "Com-pen-say-shun" comes out- think it's the longest word some locals now.

Of course, in any job you get those who abuse their position, and there seems to be a greater percentage now, who do that by picking on people, being overly bureaucratic or just a pain, that gets everyone tarred with the same brush.

That's why these days I avoid them as much as the next person.

RE: The Police - Bjm - 11 October 2012

The police are just another bunch of tax collecters, only good at giving out fines. would be interesting to
know how much they raise each year and where it goes.. no good for much else...

Whats the difference between the police and criminals in the UK?

The former have not yet been convicted.
