Cheap vacuum sealer is a good investment, along with a dehydrator. Security wise, look at http://www.oliverbrown.co.uk and wikipedia Start from the ground up, so look at http://www.freebookspot.es (or torrents) and get some martial arts books / dvds and a couple of friends to spar with. THEN look at the next level up, i.e. knives / crossbows etc. You can go to a local rifle club without any issues, your age shouldn't be a problem. You just have to make the best of a less than ideal situation; I'm 17 ,still in full time education and living with family. Every Thursday I take 2.5 shopping bags full of food and supplies home from the market, spending around £15. I'm running out of room under my bed; it builds up quickly if you are consistent. Excellent advice from tibbles there... sounds like you've got a good prepper head on your shoulders... Try B&m stores if you have one nearby, I got a huge tin of fruit from there the other day, its that big you can use the empty tin for a wood stove... 99p Many bargains plus the pound shops usually sell tins 3 for a pound as well. Again I picked up a tenners worth of spam, ham etc from there. I know my local rifle club has no issues with my age.my problem would be my mum. its the whole "my house, my rules" kinda thing. and I think I already know where she stands when it comes to guns.
