RE: Commentary on how people are situationally unaware - NorthernRaider - 4 February 2013 I'm always utterly baffled by pedestrians in cities who wander around with head phones to Ipods and other items plugged in , either they are dumb or indestructable. RE: Commentary on how people are situationally unaware - Metroyeti - 4 February 2013 People with head phones=easy money this was a few years ago when ipads/phones were new, police were telling people to buy alternative head phones as iphone ones were white and thats how the gangs chose there victims RE: Commentary on how people are situationally unaware - bigpaul - 5 February 2013 Joggers make me laugh, they've ALL got headphones on and NONE of them can hear the car coming up behind them! would be very easy to knock one over before they know i'm even there! ![]() RE: Commentary on how people are situationally unaware - BeardyMan - 5 February 2013 (5 February 2013, 14:06)bigpaul Wrote: Joggers make me laugh, they've ALL got headphones on and NONE of them can hear the car coming up behind them! would be very easy to knock one over before they know i'm even there! They normally look, look away, do a double take then scarper. I was in a supermarket with the missus when we came across this old woman blocking the aisle with her trolley. I said "excuse me", no response. Again, "Excuse me", still no response. So I pushed the trolley out of the way. The cheeky cow went mental "I did hear you but you were ignorant and didn't say please so I ignored you" etc. She soon shut up when I bellowed "F*ck off you miserable old c*nt - I asked nicely - now f*cking move" The aisle ahead cleared pretty rapidly. Apologies if it was anyone's mum ![]() ![]() RE: Commentary on how people are situationally unaware - John - 7 February 2013 Well nice to see you back again NR. One thing on this, you can always pick out a policeman, if you look. They are trained to observer and note things. I went to talk followed by a test with the police some while back when I had the pleasure of sitting on one of their consultative committees. Gave us talk and showed us some things. After there was what turned out to be a mock handbag grab right in front of us from little old lady, old bill dressed up. Amazing how many different versions of what happened and what the perp was wearing etc. Opened my eyes and even now I try, fail most times, to see what I can see. Nice post old chap, trust not too cold up there for you. (2 February 2013, 13:26)NorthernRaider Wrote: Commentary on how people are situationally unaware |
