There is an android app, IIRC called 'Morse Player Free'. I read about it on a ham site, it will find files containing text on your phone and play them in Morse for, you can adjust the speed.
How long does it take? how longs a piece of string, it all depends upon the individual... just stick at it.

there is an extenssion on chrome that translates what you type in but you can do that yourself once you learn the basic alphabet.
