Cheers LS. I was down south when it hit, so missed the worst of it. OH reports no damage to speak of though. Currently on the Sleeper from London back home. It left on time and seems to be making good progress. I get the impression the east coast has seen some of the biggest problems.

Sleeper got in 15 mins early. Now on the express bus to home, which left bang on time and is speeding through a snowy landscape on clear roads. Full marks to Scottish resilience!

(interestingly, the East Coast train service south from Inverness was cancelled this morning, travelling on the same line as the Sleeper
