Rocks ....get into the habit of pick/peeling some birch bark when you walk past a tree and put some in a bag or container....great for starting a fire ...even if its wet it will light...also when passing a fence pick a bit wool left by a sheep ,also a good starter.Get yourself a fire steel and have a practice.

I've got firesteel, along with lifeboat matches and a storm lighter. Need to get the Birch trees found Smile
