RE: WW3 - harrypalmer - 25 August 2016 Well I guess that being probed by an alien in a UFO would scramble your head a little. Why do aliens probe, you'd think that after all this time they'd have a pretty good idea whats up there or perhaps they just enjoy doing it. RE: WW3 - Mortblanc - 25 August 2016 Well, no matter how crazy he appears his bank account does not reflect it. Last year he reached a divorce settlement with his wife and paid her to the tune of $5,000,000 plus massive child support. He is syndicated on more than 64 networks doing 4 hours of commentary daily. He is very well liked in the cities with large university communities. There are a lot of people out there that eat this stuff up, especially his views on one world government and world control by the elite. Not saying I agree with any of his concepts or opinions, just observing. He is one of those people that starts out with a valid premise, gives a good explanation or his opinion on that and then launches into a ....."that's why we know Merkil is an alien operative!"...rant. RE: WW3 - CharlesHarris - 25 August 2016 They use him as a case study at MI school. A master at the old school Soviet playbook and entertaining as well. A student of Vladimir Posner. RE: WW3 - harrypalmer - 26 August 2016 The UK has its share of conspiracy believers covering all sorts of topics. The BBC produced a good little series which is worth looking at, here's a link to some of them https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tga4hXy8qws https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7ByWCFX4ZQs https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Oju_lpqa6Ug The UK equivalent of Jones is David Icke and he has a lot of believers/followers and guess who he's pals with https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JoOxCMAc03M RE: WW3 - Mortblanc - 26 August 2016 I am not wasting 4 hours of my life watching that crap! There is important stuff to do. I have to eat breakfast and get to the trap range, then eat lunch and take a nap. RE: WW3 - harrypalmer - 26 August 2016 MB, they are interesting if only too look at the 'conspiracy' types as much as the 'theories' they support. Things like that I often leave playing in the background or play on the TV in the kitchen whilst I'm cooking. Talking of which I've got a few old army buddies popping in tomorrow some time so I've picked up 4kg of lamb for a curry. Got to feed the lads ![]() RE: WW3 - CharlesHarris - 26 August 2016 A classic (1928) textbook on propaganda available as an ebook for free: http://www.voltairenet.org/IMG/pdf/Bernays_Propaganda_in_english_.pdf RE: WW3 - harrypalmer - 26 August 2016 Well the curry is on for the boys tomorrow in a large slow cooker ![]() Are you 'into' philosophy CH? RE: WW3 - CharlesHarris - 26 August 2016 I was trained as an engineer and scientist, although I was compelled to endure the afflictions of academia and its associated coursework. That said, I subscribe more to the writings of Sun Tsu, von Clauswitz, and modern writers such as Robert Hare, and Daniel Amen than I do Yung, Freud, Decartes, Nietzsche or Bertrand Russell. RE: WW3 - harrypalmer - 27 August 2016 I thought you may have read some. I carried a copy of this on deployment for a long time, a friend gave me the copy, its pretty much a picture book but I could read little junks while my rat pack was heating up. https://www.amazon.com/Philosophy-Beginners-Richard-Osborne/dp/1934389021/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1472301216&sr=8-1&keywords=philosophy+for+beginners Since returning I've started reading books...enjoying David Hume just now, I had no idea how much he influenced the Declaration of Independence. |
