RE: Pandemic - Prepper1 - 11 March 2013

don't worry, this discussion or one very like it has been discussed on here before the dawn of time.

I'm a ranter as well, I go off every now and again...

Some of us are well aware of the shit we will face post shtf and on the slide on the way there.

Glad your talking to your mam.
mine was something similar always working in the pubs when I was younger brought myself up joined up etc....

RE: Pandemic - Luci_ferson - 11 March 2013

i try not to rant in others forums, ive got my naughty corner to go rant in lol

il probably get put in a loony bin if the gov. starts reading my naughty corner lol

and yup my mam worked in the pub too, good guess lol

pubs were responsible for many of us self-service kids lol

RE: Pandemic - Prepper1 - 11 March 2013

Dont I know it, shes better now shes older and shes a great gran to the kids so, swings and roundabouts I suppose...

RE: Pandemic - Luci_ferson - 11 March 2013

when our friends went home and watched cartoons waiting for their tea. we were coming home and starting to cook it lol

RE: Pandemic - Prepper1 - 11 March 2013

I didnt even know half the stuff supermarkets sold till I was older with my own place.

RE: Pandemic - Luci_ferson - 11 March 2013

its not that they were bad mothers, they were doing what was needed cos times were hard
they had to take crap jobs, it was that or you didnt get the new school shorts and had to wear last years that didnt have space in the balls cos you were only 11 last year

thats the diference in today, mothers stay on dole till kids are 15 .
its good for the kid but bad for the mother.
but it has bad effects too.
the kid takes everything for granted

RE: Pandemic - Prepper1 - 11 March 2013

I'll never forgive my mam for one thing though.
One year for christmas I got a new coat....
all lovely pvc fake leather and elastic cuffs....

Lost it within a day...

horrible coat..

I shudder when I think about that coat...

A bin bag was more fashionable...

RE: Pandemic - Luci_ferson - 11 March 2013

yep , i remember some of the stuff my mother brought home proudly and expected me to wear.
everyone else had addidas and i had addidas wish they were lol

RE: Pandemic - Prepper1 - 11 March 2013

Must have been something in the water, or the bear at the time that drained their fashion sense...

I meant beer not bear.....

RE: Pandemic - Luci_ferson - 11 March 2013

nope , it was going cheap somewhere and you needed a coat.
same as my trainers, i did need some, and she couldnt afford, so she got me what she could

i used to think i had a strict mam, and always wanted a mam like my friends, who got everything they wanted.
now im glad i got mine, or i wouldnt be me, id be like my friend, a sheeple
