Thats as much as you can do.
I put a bit of paper between batteries and connectors in my torches to break the circuit.
I think tht stops them discharging so they're ready if / when I need them.
Anyone got any thoughts on this?
I've done the same with AM/FM/SW radios I have stored along with 2-way radios too.
I suppose whatever you do, from water storeage to food, It's better than what you'll
Get from the locallity...
Many thanks

Paper works when its dry, but becomes conductive when damp. We use plastic as it remase and insulator in damp/ humid conditions( plastic bag materialis good as its thin and readily available)

We teach in our CERT classes that kit should be inspected and replenished after every exercise or mission, or not less than twice annually, usually in the spring and again in fall.

We held a social gathering with cookout and formal equipment inspection and supply issue / replenishment during the Memorial Day weekend in May.

And got together as a group again in the fall usually between Armistice Day and Thanksgiving in November.

We cherish too, the Poppy red
That grows on fields where valor led,
It seems to signal to the skies
That blood of heroes never dies.

Absolutely.
I agree, and we now all should be reviewing our bob's for the change of season now.
Survival against the elements should always be up there but more now. Considering the restrictions of weight, etc.
A good way to bring more ideas in:

What are we changing in our kit for the winter?
