No new projects are in the pipeline, however when shopping always looking for good (prepping) deals/bargains.

Garden work is slowing down now just keeping it tidy. Vehicle winterisation can wait a little longer.

everyone.....take care.....keep safe.....keep prepping.

Well more or less finished the above jobs, still tidying the garden, the grass won’t need mowing much more.....
.....(originally put cutting much longer, hmm ? didn’t look right.....cutting makes things shorter ? ).

So to new preps, on our travels bought some more AA and AAA batteries, where do they go to ?, (for SHTF use we have dedicated rechargeables), and some gas cartridges for the bistro stove (they were cheap).

Still got vehicle preps and checks to do, car was MOT’d two weeks ago so that one won’t be much, just the camper.

SS we’re still waiting for a delivery of welsh cakes .

As usual....everyone.... take care..... keep safe.... keep prepping.

First mild frost last night so I'll be covering windows with bubble wrap not all but the ones that won't be used over winter.

Bubble wrap is great it is good insulation but let's in light.

we didnt have frost overnight but we did have a "dawn dip" which frosted over the car windows, 0.5C

Finally got round to buying an old school pressure cooker to save fuel and reduce cooking time

You don't see pressure cookers being advertised like you used to. I have one but have not used it for years.

I think there is a book somewhere in the archives.

just made myself a mini cold frame, a wooden box, some insulating foil and a plastic box for the lid.

At the moment the North Sea Interlink which connects the National Grid to the Norwegian grid is shut down for maintenance, it allows two way flow of electricity depending on neeo.
As our generation is perilously close to demand power cuts are pretty much certain over the winter.

Demand is actually lower than previous due to the decline in manufacturing, generation is lower due to the closure of all coal power stations, and some oil and gas power stations, nuclear old sites closing and new one delayed.
Wind and solar renewables are a small percentage and never consistent

The point of this post is ...... If you have no generation your selves ...... make sure you deep cycle batteries, power banks, LED lamps and all rechargeable batteries & devices are always kept fully charged, your candles and hurricane lamps are for SHTF.
