Got 4 large pallets today they will be broken down for kindling ,amazing that people buy it and it isn't cheap.

Not so easy to come by these days my last few drives around industrial estates iv noticed many more fences and gates stopping access.
I never just take I always ask it's best policy as most think I'm after scrap,or clocking what's around to come back later.

most places have to pay to have them taken away so anything we can take saves the occupier money.
we generally just take as its all scrap, and we go on a Sunday when there is no one there to ask although where we go we do have permission.

I have a friend who drops us a couple of pallets every now and again more than enough for kindling.
So some are cut “chunky” for a chilly autumn evening fire, the blocks are for the fire pit where any nails are no problem.
We are saving the coal for when it’s cold enough that we need a permanent (all day) fire.

when the pallets get too old to use in the garden I cut them up and add them to my firewood stash.

Just bought a new pressure cooker…..dry curing three joints for bacon plus Two joints of brisket……fitted a new camera system …..and some new surprises for uninvited guests ……lots of stuff on the go….but the list is coming down quietly …..Pete , I must confess …..I ate your welsh cakes ….even worse I didn’t feel the least bit guilty as I was doing it …..sorry mate the devil Made me do it ! There’s not even a hint of remorse ….what a complete and utter b…..d .

Some of you probably know this already but for those who don't, be careful about which pallets you burn, some are treated with methyl bromide, normally MB stamped on the side, that and other such chemicals are far from good for you.
