I agree BP ….most have not seen hard times as most people our age have lived through way back then , but we did have self respect ! And helped out where we could even if that help was small. What happened ? And when I do See that old way taking place…..and I do now and then it lifts me up ! I am sure we will see that more often ….that is why we all prepare , hard times are coming the like that’s never been seen for decade's imo so to Pete prepare yourself …..start today ! Just a tin of beans is all you need to get going ! Download the files from this site ….theres loads ! Of great help therein look after you and yours …..nobody else will …..unless it’s another prepper charity starts at home .

I made a list of events that came immediately to mind:
1. removal of pensioners winter fuel payment, possible extra deaths this winter.
2. Waspi women not getting the pension they were promised.
3. Farmers inheritance tax, more possible protests to come, blockade of ports and supermarkets and depots. shortage of food in shops.
4. possible increase in EU fishing vessels in British waters if Starmer gets an agreement with EU.
5. Brexit "reset"??
6. ever more migrants, legal and illegal.
7. some local elections to be cancelled.
8. increase in Sharia courts.
prepare, prepare, prepare.

How about snooping on bank accounts, not just the unemployed but anyone who receives a in work top up receives council tax support or a single parent.
The one they are not talking about is ,say your brother works full time but because he receives
minium wage gets a small top up government can look into his employers accounts your accounts your kids accounts in fact any blood relatives.
But you work full time and receive no government money or are retired.
Strange what they keep quite.
.so frankly they will have access to just about everyone's accounts..

or do they? maybe the banks are expected to do their dirty work for them, that is more likely.
even if they can I dont think there are enough officials to check everyone's accounts.

The computers do it for them. The banks are complicit in this as well. They have to report any transactions over 10K, I think. If you do two transactions of 5K close enough together the banks report that to the Stasi as well.
A pox on them all.

not much of a problem for me, never paid £10k for anything, did pay £5K for my newer car but thats straight forward.

Many years ago (40) I Knew a lady who worked for a local building society, one of her jobs was to send a list of accounts over a certain amount to HMRC. It’s easier now with computers.
A couple of years ago I suggested preppers should keep some of their finances in gold, it would have doubled by now and be out of the system, and out of sight, and could be kept for when we get a more sympathetic government (to workers, not scroungers) who know what the country needs to get its feet.
Well we can hope.
But don’t hold your breath.

It's all smoke and mirrors anyway...you pay tax on your savings to hmrc from this information they can work out how much you have.
The issue for them is under data protection laws they can't inform , d.h.s.s. housing benefit ect.
But they know so they torys and now labour want to look at what you have ,but I believe they already know.
The government is your enemy.

the govt- of any party- was never anyone's friend, it is merely there to control and tax you.
