RE: What have done towards your prep? - Skean Dhude - 22 June 2025 Very disappointed with Trump. Bang goes his legacy of being the only president not to start a war. He seems to think that he can bomb Iran and then say 'Let's talk. No need for fighting' From a group that that has been fighting since 1980. Get the popcorn out. At least Iran doesn't have nukes yet. RE: What have done towards your prep? - bigpaul - 22 June 2025 if the bombing was as successful as stated Iran wont have nukes for the rest of my lifetime. RE: What have done towards your prep? - Pete Grey - 22 June 2025 p As l said things are getting more difficult and dangerous BY THE DAY. First job tomorrow top up vehicle fuel tanks, Iran has already threatened to close the Strait of Hormuz. We are ok for bottled gas at the moment (no empties), but will pick up a few more disposable cartridges as the price will only go up. w £150 off a tonne, will definitely order some more smokeless coal. As the likelihood of Iranian cyber attacks will increase, with the danger of power outages, rechargeable batteries AA/AAA and leisure will be checked. With no electricity No mains water or gas, sewage won’t be pumped away cash machines won’t work, keep a little cash at home now. By the way in September 2018 I suggested everyone should keep some of their savings in gold, at that a full sovereign was £240 to buy, now £624. Nothing like SHTF or a WAR to panic the money men. RE: What have done towards your prep? - bigpaul - 23 June 2025 we always keep both cars topped up, doing our monthly shop on tuesday, apart from that , stock of gas bottles are up to date-no empties, got a big stock of candles anyway, usual stock of batteries, so its pretty much in hand. sit back and see what happens. RE: What have done towards your prep? - Pete Grey - 23 June 2025 (22 June 2025, 19:46)Pete Grey Wrote: As l said things are getting more difficult and dangerous BY THE DAY. Vehicle fuel done and Coal ordered, spare leisure battery on charger/maintainer. Ordered a new 30A charge controller, think a spare will be good insurance. RE: What have done towards your prep? - Pete Grey - 26 June 2025 So the UK must prepare for the possibility of a “WARTIME SCENARIO ON HOME SOIL” the National Security Strategy has warned. Who would have thought it. That’s what we've been saying and so have prepared for our basic survival needs. Shelter, security, water, food, heating, cooking, lighting, medication, first aid, communication. RE: What have done towards your prep? - bigpaul - 27 June 2025 when you increase the population with non indigenous people from a foreign culture you set the scene for civil war, such must be obvious even to the most unintelligent person, our MP's are so afraid of losing their seats they either cant or wont see this fact. RE: What have done towards your prep? - Pete Grey - 27 June 2025 I was not talking about civil war but that only needs a spark to light the fire. I meant an attack by a foreign power (now getting more likely than ever) with a massive cyber attack nocking out the grid, gas pipelines, electricity interconnectors, fibre optic cables all severed. So no electricity, no gas, sewage overflowing, no mobiles, no internet, bank cards not working, no cash machines, shops shut as tills don’t work, no petrol as pumps don’t work, of course motorways and major roads shut to all but military and police traffic. Then there’s the possibility of drone and non-nuclear missile attacks on military sites and bases, and civilian infrastructure, power stations, transport hubs, fuel storage depots etc. Sorry to be so cheerful ![]() RE: What have done towards your prep? - bigpaul - 28 June 2025 I see the advice online for the general population is to stock up on batteries in case of power cuts and have £400 in cash at home, I dont know how they came up with the £400 figure or why. RE: What have done towards your prep? - Sunna - 28 June 2025 Or some lefty demonstration gets into a air base and instead of painting they fire bomb millions of £ wort of equipment. No sas training needed. |
