Printing power should be in the hands of the treasury and not God damn private corporations and their God damn Fractional reserve lending, and quantative easing crap. Yeah the federal reserve is as federal as federal express. Same with all central banks. They are essentially private corporations, and we all know how much big private mega corps have peoples best interest at heart. RE: We Need Money - Scythe13 - 5 December 2012 It's not the bankers fault. They saw a way to make a quick buck, and they went for it. Granted it's totally screwed everything up. But it's much more than the bankers that have screwed up our financial system. What about the stock traders who shorted so many shared to bring the share price down? What about the government who regulate so poorly. What about the financial advisers to tell people to invest in stock held pension plans? What about the people taking 125% mortgages knowing they didn't need that amount? What about the idiots investing in properties that didn't have a clue how to invest wisely? What about the mortgage companies that allowed the idiots access to the funds in the first place? What about those tv shows about people buying houses and selling them at huge profits? What about the economy that made the house prices rise to these idiots thought it possible to make that much money so easily? Oh wait......we're the economy. Us, the consumer and buyers. Only blaming the bankers is like blaming rain for sinking the titanic, because rain is water and ice is what sunk the titanic. There's a whole lot more than just bankers that has crashed our economy. RE: We Need Money - Straight Shooter - 5 December 2012 like i,v said s13 WHO runs the banksters WHO are the REAL players its not the banks fault about ....libor... fixing the rates either....... you will be telling us next !!!!!! But it's not the low lending that's the problem. At most, there are 20 or so people that are manipulating the system. But that's not what's screwed the country. There are thousands of factors, and if any of us were in the same situation as the 'bankers' (able to net a nice £22million bonus, EVERY year) I think we would do that same thing. RE: We Need Money - MikeAlpha3041 - 6 December 2012 Do you know that as at the 30 June 2011 the amount owed by the UK was $156,126 (96,884.96 GBP) per capita in external debt that is $9,836,000,000,000 (6,104,784,484,912.85 GBP) ...... and I worry about being a week in arrears rent! And before some smart a**e makes a comment about "silver spoon" or the like, I live with my wife and three children and earn £300 a week and have done for 7 years, that the 5 of us live off, I can't get "state benefit's" because I have two "over 18's" living with me and the "state" presume they pay their way but actually contribute nothing what so ever! You just have to adapt and overcome - not easy but not impossible. |
