Free PDF download on making radio anten.. ant... Aerials - NorthernRaider - 30 June 2012 http://www.hamuniverse.com/basicantennas.pdf Heavy Weight Ham Documents - Paul - 14 July 2012 This document is a very good guide but I'm thinking it is a bit heavy for most non technical people For a document aimed at non technical persons, there is a heck of a lot of "geek speak" in it. I think people would prefer a simpler document with photographs on installing basic CB, HF, 2 meter whips for a vehicle, and simple base station aerials. Plus how to use a magmount, drill and fit a body panel mount, a boot lip, or gutter type. Together with how to SWR ( tune in ) any of the above and how to fit a standard PL259 or BNC plug. I'll try to find time to take some piccies as I build a simple dipole for portable use, it's not nearly as hard as it sounds. Cheers, Martin |
