I also pick stuff up that suits me.
Mostly cheap stuff, I'm a layers man.
Occasionally getting clothing from surplusandadventure.com
Good reliable firm.

I've still got family serving so i tend to erm..... obtain extra bits of clothing that he willingly gives to me, and in return I stop squeezing his testicles !! Smile
Prada combat suit woven out of pure sable and mink
Gucci thermals made from hand made silk
Goatskin boots made from leather that was tanned by being chewed by 100 Virgins.

Thats SD's budget kit. Smile

Me? I like anything that doesnt make my bum look big or hides my fantastic good looks Smile

Nr that sounds painful.

I get alot in charity shops, got both my waterproof jackets and a ski jacket. It can take months to find what your after, but if your on a budget it really helps. Got a set of skiing trousers/dungarees for 3quid.

Kitchen tongs might work?

RE: Cold weather set of cloths list - Pagan-Mist - 11 November 2012

I doubt it cause he won't come near me in a kitchen he reckons I'm a nightmare I suppose he should know as he's been followed out by half the crockery and pans when he's naffed me off enough

When I worked on building sites in winter I found that if I kept my legs and feet warm then I din't find the cold too bad.

I would invest in some thermal long johns and some woolly socks.

A hat is always a good idea

Buffs are fantastic

Be careful not to overheat whilst working

Windproof is essential as is waterproof

Cheaper than thermals leggings and or tights

I cycle all year round and usually wear fingerless gloves. It is bitter for the first half hour or so but once I have the blood pumping around my body my fingers come back to life

If you suffer from cold finger despite wearing gloves you might want to try mittens as they tend to be warmer than gloves. (Less surface area)
