power cut in NW Devon
#1
apparently we had a power cut here on Friday! didnt know anything about it as we went to Tavistock Market, apparently one of the sub-stations blew a relay or something, only took an hour to fix it-only reason we knew was because the timer and wall clock were an hour outBig Grin just glad it wasnt any worse.

That's a good sign that at least your neck of the woods would be up pretty quickly if something happened.

to be truthful i'm surprised it was fixed so quick, must have been a simple replacement job!

The way health and safety are going, there will be a committee meeting about whether the problem should be fixed, then another meeting deciding who to contract the work to. After that there will be a debriefing........within a month, the problem will be in the process of being.....discussed haha.

how many workmen does it need to clean out a roadside drain? 1 to do the work, 1 to sweep up the leaves and 6 to stand around discussing how to do it!!Big Grin
