When you join the army you get two new identities, one is a nick-name and the other is a number. The number is in a sense, can be read as a complete bio of the individual. For example all the other ex soldiers on here will automatically know I am ancient and ugly. Educational here, is't it Hi!

I wondered about the stones in the beer can, but assumed I must be wrong because of your military background.
I never expected the military to use tricks we used as kids to protect our base camps. I guess it makes sense, why buy something when you got something freely available anyway and it gos unnoticed. theres nothing more covert than whats already around you. it already fits in.
