Good advice from the State Department.

But the "European authorities continue to take steps to assure public safety and disrupt terrorist plots. We work closely with our allies......" reads like something from WW II. A little alarmist IMHO.

Fear of travel in Europe is simply giving in to the terrorists. The threat is minimal, particularly if we stay away from high profile events and exercise vigilance when in possible target locations.
