It is inevitable. The US is weakening. China is growing. Russia has simply changed their favoured links with someone closer and they share the same continent.

The US is becoming more isolated and soon they will not have the reach they need to be everywhere they want. I think that change will be for the better. It'll stop US servicement dying for political reasons and they can get their noses out of what doesn't have anything to do with them. They will then have time to sort out their own continent and turn their attention to South America. Where they will find the people easier to deal with. What happens to Israel though will be an issue.
