I've been thinking about prepping for ages, often thinking about what if senarios and how I would deal with it. The moment that really sent me into action for prepping and survival was after I read the book One Second After. It's about an EMP going of and the daily struggle of a town. It scared the shit out of me and got me to start looking into what I would need for me and the family to survive. After finding this site I realize I'm lacking a lot of knowledge and enjoying all the different information to be found here. I find that the things I played out in my head are being discussed here by people with practical knowledge.

Thanks for the warm welcome and I hope i can contribute more.
