the vote to remove this allowance for thousands of pensioners has now gone through.
this could lead to the deaths of up to four thousand pensioners this winter.
just wondering, do you think this is some form of population control by this Labour govt???

It seems to me that Pensioners are seen as an "easy target".
What can we do other than "object".
I am beginning to observe that there is a repetition happening in this country and that we are about to go through an awful lot of painful experiences yet again.

the next 5 years will be difficult for everyone, not just pensioners(of which I am one), but also Drivers and Homeowners.

The pension should be means tested ,why should folk get it when they have other pensions , large amounts of savings, shairs and a home worth over 500k

The people in need yes ,rich middle class and upper class ..no .

You can easily work out who gets what by taxes paid on the above.
The tax office already has this information so easy to police.

because we have paid into it all our working lives thats why.
the winter fuel allowance should be means tested but thats different, well off pensioners should not get it they dont need it but it should be more than just people on pension credit.

Apparently most pensioners are not brain dead morons so don't vote Liebour so it is an easy win for them.

They were educated when education was more than just talking about climate and sex changes. I remember things from history and that helps put things in context. I also can use critical thinking and if I have two contradictory statements it makes me examine things a little more. Young adults nowadays only examine statements in isolation and don't think about previous statement that they have heard.

We are the ones that have lived through houses that froze in the winter, coal fires, concrete play areas and explored the real world. This lot are protected till they are 16 and follow orders issues to them at home on their phones.

not just the young, many people only do what is on the "chit" and are not allowed to use their initiative.
I have never voted labour and never will, I dont trust them whoever their leader is.
