Good on them.
I used to see people exiting through Poole Port with a loaded down crapped out van, one way tickets to France, no house or job to go to, just happy smiley faces.
Funny bit about it was, I never saw one come back.

brilliant! nice to see the press not branding survivalists as nutters or as dangers to society, probably only cause that couple have money tho Tongue

Prepping and survivalist is becoming a cause celebre in modern media circles.

Because its hot, sunny and everythiung including good land is going cheap, Ergo if you bugger orf from the UK with £100 K you are going to see it go much further in Greece than it will here, and of course a good PV system down there will save you a lot of dosh.

There are just doing what Nemesis is doing on a bigger scale and its also only a maritime version of what that guy who wrote HOW TO LIVE OFF-GRID did. Its all good PR for us.
And ladies Smile its not the content of the article that is so astounding, its the fact that
(A) Its the HEADLINE story
(B) They aint ridiculing survivalists either.

We are coming out of the shadows, I dont know if thats a good thing cos when we get mainstream you will find thousands of greedy bastards trying to commercialise prepping.

We were looking at doing the same thing but mooring costs in the Med are expensive. The thought of sailing at night put me off also. What if something went wrong with the boat and they needed a spare part? Can they speak fluent Greek? Great idea they have I hope they have planned it well.
