yes, but what you have to remember is-every time they lay squaddies off- that is LESS soldiers they will have post SHTF to do their bidding, so the LESS they can interfere with the likes of you and me out in the countryside.

im sure they will find someone to do that BP

hell they cant find anyone to do it now in the good times! local council office is 23 miles away, county council 30 miles away, we arent remote here but we are mostly forgotten about, real end of the line for getting things done or being told about something or other, after TSHTF it wont get any better.

I KNOW............just get rid of ALL the forces......and all the civil servents and while your about it..stop all their pensions and any injured and dependants stop any payments they get..just as well get rid of plod as well...NHS...fire fighters....dentists...banks..all of...now then...we don,t need councils.....we don,t need goverment....NO MORE DEFICET.......easy really....no need to work no need for money.......IT seems that laying down your life when asked of you AND expected of you is not enough YOU can go get f..ked like the rest of the people in the uk....." we are all in it together" after all......except polititions of course...they have not got a f..king clue

Got told today that my job could be in the firing line. Most of the redundancies will be voluntary though. I know that most of my colleagues would jump at the chance to leave this way as you're out the door immediately with a years wages in the back burner. Morale has plummeted as of late. Also to some of you, I wouldn't be too.hasty to consider us as the governments henchmen if push comes to shove, most of us hate Whitehall more than you belive it or not.

sorry to hear that mikeA ...my earlier post was not intended to have a go at anyone who is lucky enough to be employed right now...NO ONE in the goverment has any idea of what to do ....there is no thinking out the box whatsoever....its an exceptance of whats to come with a spin of things will get better.... well ....tell it to the people loosing their jobs and tell it to the youth of this country that cannot get a job....if your going to cut our forces ....do you think their going to worry about anyone else least the likes of you and me ....and they want a NEW WORLD ORDER if this is what the global market means you can f..king keep it.....ask anyone in spain, cause thats what,s on its way here....david should have said WE ARE ALL IN IT TOGETHER ALL AROUND THE WORLD.
