100% agree. Basically ANY device/item that uses software to operate screws up at some point, often several times a month/year.
Depends. In the olden days code was robust but now it is written quickly using development tools and the more complex you make it the more chance for a screw up.
Not that long ago I was looking at a bit of code that was about 200 bytes long. It was compiled under .Net so it had a 300Mb attachment. Crazy.
If done properly code is safe. Doing it properly is old fashioned so most code is not written correctly.
