It is most certainly not scaremongering. A lot depends on the weather over the next week or so. If rationing happens, industrial customers will be hit first (and yes, this could include power generation). Domestic consumers will be asked to cut back on consumption.

Part of the problem is that a lot of coal-fired generating capacity is being taken out of service in order to meet Government CO2 emission targets. Just yesterday, the Didcot coal fired power station was closed down. This does increase our reliance on gas.

Get a camping stove and some extra blankets ready.
Find a resilient place and way to live, then sit back and watch a momentous period in history unfold.
